转眼，女儿已经十五岁，俨然长大成人。
十五年前那个周日的晚上，一个新的生命呱呱坠地。她被初初推出产房的时候，竟然不知叫她什么。
十五年之内，经历了家庭支离和人生变迁，女儿已经长大，有时看着涂着粉，画着眼圈的女儿，觉得有些陌生。
曾经听过Bob Carlisle那首Butterfly Kisses的歌，表现的是父亲晚上在女儿熟睡之后，又眼睫毛拂动女儿的脸颊，谓之蝴蝶之吻，表达父亲对女儿的深深的爱。
恰巧，上班路上，放起这首歌，在今天女儿十五岁生日的这一天，更有意义。

Butterfly Kiss(蝴蝶之吻)不是指蝴蝶的亲吻，而是指当大人和小孩以脸部亲昵地靠在一起时，其中一人的眼睫毛，随着眼睛的眨动，轻轻的刷拂在另外一人的脸颊上，或者是两个人额头面对面的凑在一起，双方的睫毛互相刷拂，那种感觉，就好像是轻柔的蝴蝶在“亲吻”着你。
女儿就要年满16岁了，Bob突然惊觉女儿已经长大，用不了多久，就要离巢单飞。此时，许多甜蜜的回忆，一点一滴涌现了出来，使他感慨万千......
第一次带女儿去骑马、第一次女儿给他做蛋糕，还有每晚临睡前给女儿的‘蝴蝶之吻’，又想到女儿将来结婚的情景，他看着穿上礼服的女儿，心中感慨，是否会永远失去女儿？女儿安慰着父亲，再度给他“蝴蝶之吻”，
回首过往、瞻望未来，他相信自己必定曾经为女儿做过许多，才配拥有女儿的爱，以及那些令人难忘的“蝴蝶之吻”。生命也许就是这样。在心灵深处永远记得这些年来每个早晨的拥抱，还有那些“蝴蝶之吻”也就够了。
旧金山San Francisco Chronicle的报导说，有位听众一边开车一边听此歌，因感动泣不成声而不得不停车到路边,足见它的魅力。
这首歌后来成为各电台热门榜首。唱片也成为1997年夏季销售的第一名。1998年还获得了第四十届格莱美最佳乡村歌曲奖。Bob也被冠以抒情天王美名，成为美国专辑榜、成人抒情榜、福音歌曲榜排行三冠王。
如今，蝴蝶之吻(Butterfly Kisses)已经成为美国人婚礼上必不可少的经典歌曲。
